ΔIONYΣIOΣ KIΛAΣ Draped bust of Livia to right. RPC I 2450. Rare and perhaps the finest known. In exceptional condition for the issue, sharply struck, very well centered and with a very attractive dark patina. Extremely fine.

This coin forms part of a dynastic issue which Dionysios Kilas, the Magnesian priest of the cult of Augustus, probably financed on the occasion of the visit of the Caesars Caius and Lucius to his polis in 2 BC
